About the Blog
This blog, ‘IR-V’, aims to discuss matters which are pertinent to the sphere of ‘International Relations and Security’. Some of the major topics of interest include: the state of Daesh in the Middle East; violence exhibited by state and non-state actors, including torture within the Guantanamo Bay detainment centre; international politics in the Middle-East; and counter-terrorism measures.
About the Author
The author of this blog is Thomas Hilbig, founder of ‘IR-V’ and former director at ‘Hilbig Family Limited’ management and research consulting. I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First Class Honours B.A. in Criminology and I am currently undertaking an M.A. in ‘International Relations and Security’ at the University of Liverpool.
